There’s good news and there’s bad news. Bad news first - Bohemka lost again. Now for the good news - there are only two more games to play this fall season.<br /> <br /> Bohemians took an early lead after a penalty shot for tripping Hašek in the penalty box. The referee did not hesitate with his verdict and neither did Sňozík who had to jog the length of field to take the shot. This was his first goal in a first league game; he scored three during the second division campaign.
Zlín also answered early. Probably the smallest player on the field was left alone during a free kick. He took advantage of it by heading in the tying goal. This goal unglued Bohemka and it was just a matter of time when Zlín would strike again. As it turned out, it was early in the second half and it was again small Vyskočil who did the damage.
Bohemians tried in vain to produce at least an equalizer. Ordoš had probably the best chance, but his shot from about three meters out hit the falling goalie.
This was a must win game for Bohemians, but the only people who seemed to realize it were fans. Players started well, but about 20 minutes into the game they began playing as if nothing mattered. One can make excuses for bad luck, for a good opponent, but not for a lack of effort.
The coaching staff of Bohemians has a challenging task ahead of them. If Bohemians don’t want to start the spring season looking at the backs of other teams disappearing in the distance, they have to gain at least a few points in the remaining two games.
The first of these all important games will be played in Teplice on Sunday, December 2, 2007. The game starts at 5 pm.
