As you may already know, on Friday and Saturday we play last two games on our French Tour. On Friday evening we played against FC Gueugnon, who joined the UEFA Cup last year, and tonight we will finish our tour in a game against Chateaurroux.
FC Gueugnon
This club from a little town of Gueugnon, which is situated in the middle of France, has been founed in 1940. They first two celebrations came in years 1946/47 and 1951/52 when they won non-professional league. Most of the time FCG has played only in the second league. FCG won the second league only once in the history and it was in the season 1978/79. In the year 2000 FCG won the French League Cup when they beat 2:0 Paris St. Germain in the final and thanks to that FCG entered for the only time in the clubs´history the UEFA Cup. Last year they end up on the 10th position.
