Josef Jindřišek decided the match in added time
The spring came to Vršovice. Amazing weather started the spring part of the National Football League in Ďolíček. It was a match against Zlin, the team from the seventh position who is not hiding its promotion ambitions. Martin Kolář, the new acquisition of Bohemians, could not play yet because of a light injury and Matěj Štochl was a part of the starting eleven and took a position of right defender.
The first minutes were in hands of Bohemians. Right after the kick off, Kalina sent the ball do Moravec, but he did not reach it and the whole chance ended with Štochl’s shot which was well wide. Afterwards, Moravec and Jirouš took a shot each.
Zlin stayed at the back as a reaction on the pressure of Bohemians and were concentrating only on defending. The kangaroos kept attacking and it was just a matter of time when someone makes a mistake.
The long-lasting pressure ended after 30 minutes. Václav Kalina dribbled the ball from the base line and prepared it for a shot and he did not miss. The long range shot set the new score of 1:0.
Bohemians had more chances till the half time but none of them finished in a goal. Moravec and Nerad prepared a chance to score to Jirouš, who missed the target. Then it was Moravec again with a shot, but goalkeeper was where he meant to be. The half time score was 1:0.
The second half started with same line ups of both teams. The blue-yellow team was more active, more dangerous and got more chances. It was especially Róbert Matějov, who also participated with the equalizer. The Zlin’s midfilder dribbled the ball around Štochl and Moravec, crossed the ball straight on the head of Železník who managed to score.
Bohemians had 30 minutes to get the lead back. There was approximately 5 minutes long delay of the game when the assistant’s flag broke down. That was also one of the reasons why the main referee decided to add 6 minutes extra. The most important moment of the match came during the added time.
The referee Drábek saw a handball in a penalty box and pointed at the penalty spot. Josef Jindřišek was sure as always and scored a winning goal. Bohemians Praha 1905 remains at the top position of the national football league.
