Znojmo takes the lead

It was an even match since the beginning and most of the game was played in the middle of the pitch. The home team was more dangerous on the right side, Bohemians from the other side. The first chance was offered to Bartek who got a cross ball from Kalina. The midfielder of Bohemians dribbled between the two defenders, went into the penalty area and took a fast shot which was just wide. Bartek was also present at the second chance in 25th minute, but ineffective again.

Those missed chances left Bohemians goalless and Znojmo was offered a chance to take the lead on their side. Hliska crossed the ball from the right side to Marek Heinz who had enough time to shoot three times. The first two shots were saved by Sňozík but the third from a very short distance ended in a goal.

It became even worse after another ten minutes. Sňozík got injured. He couldn’t continue and was replaced by Havránek. Bohemians left the first half losing 1:0 and without a captain.

The second half started with a substitution of Nerad for Šiml and Bohemians target was to score an equalizer. But Znojmo played from the back and was counting on counter-attacks. And their chosen tactics paid off.

It was 58th minute when the home team defended well the corner kick of Bohemians, Hlisek found Nepožitek, who went one on one with the keeper, went around Havránek and scored into an empty net.

Jozef Weber reacted with a substitution of Štochl, but they couldn’t answer. All the potential chances ended inaffective, usually stopped with a well-playing keeper Hrubý. The only bigger chances came from Jindřišek’s shot and Rada’s corner.

The last chance of the match was made by David Bartek, the goalkeeper deflected the ball, Bartek took a 14 metres long shot, but only to the hands of the keeper. Bohemians lost 2:0 and let the lead to Znojmo.
