Budějovice - Bohemians 2:3
The 24th round brought together two teams from a bottom of the table. And what more, Budějovice lost seven matches in a row, Kangaroos got only one point in last 4 matches.The bad mood and nerves resulted immediately. It was Mosquera who played with his own hand in his penalty area when he tried to kick the ball away. The referee however decided well when he did not point out at the penalty area, Mosquera’s hand touched the ball after his touch with a foot, according to rules this was a good decision.
The insecurity and chaos followed Bohemians at the beginning of the match and it all culminated into a leading goal for Budějovice. A long ball was heading between Šírl and Zlámal, Varadi used up a bad communication between Kangaroos, and after a bad header from Šírl, Varadi finished it into an empty net.
The home team got on top of the game thanks to a mistake by the other team. Pivarnik’s concerns were fulfilled and players had hard times to handle with this situation.
Kangaroos found a way, with free kicks and standard situations. Mosquera sent the ball to the net during the 27th minute after a free kick but referee called it offside.
Mikuš saw running Moravec, passed him a ball and Moravec tried to beat the keeper but without success and so needed luck.
The second half offered much better view for fans. Immediately after a kick off, it was Rada who went around few players and finished it. Unfortunately, the ball went just wide.
Bohemians tried to score an equalizer but most of the tries ended before the goal construction. And it got worse. Chrien willingly fell in the penalty area after a contact with Rada and referee whistled the penalty kick without hesitation. Kladrubský aimed towards the left post and scored.
But just before that, it was Bohemians who meant to kick a penalty. Mikuš played the ball in the other penalty area and Novák tackled him. But according to Paták, no foul was committed.
The breaking point came at 68th minute. Jindřišek sent the ball to the crossbar after a free kick, goalkeeper Křížek deflected the ball to the crossbar again. The ball deflected back in front of the goal, Mosquera sent the ball towards the goal and Kladrubský saved it with his hand. He was sent off to showers and Kangaroos were awarded with a penalty kick. Rada scored it to lower the goal difference to 2:1.
Kangaroos got into ecstasy and threatened with more goal chances. They hit two crossbars, firstly Mosquera with a header, then Šmíd.
The home team held the goal machine back only for five minutes. Then Rada curved the ball towards the target from a corner kick, the ball was moving from one foot to another until Bartek’s one which sent it into net to equalize the score to 2:2. And the final winning goal for Bohemians brought into life Rada with long range shot.
The home team tried to reach at least for a point but it wasn’t meant to be. It was however Kangaroos again who could have scored. Pauschek crossed the ball to Bratanovič who sent it towards the goal with a good touch but keeper was there.
The last dot of the match could have been added with Rada but his free kick went just wide. Bohemians could finally celebrate three points and a huge step towards saving the league. On the other hand, Budějovice lost their 8th match and stays last in the league table.
