Brief summary of the last season. Our coach Borovicka says apart from other things:...if Mares and Horak had stayed we would have played for title of the league!
Already in summer in France we knew with Vlasta Petrzela that our team is strong enough to be within 5th position. When Vlasta told it to journalists, all of them laughed him. The excellent autumn verified we were right, there is no point to think about it more. We played super soccer, fans were coming and we contended for the 1st position.But difficult financial situation forced the club to sell Mares nevertheless we compromised he stay in Bohemians until the end of the season. Labant's leaving from Sparta complicated all. The benching of Horak after two spring round caused that our defense was quite split. But mainly at psyche of other players was expense. The players found the opportunity to achieve the success was vanishing and self-confidence went down. I am sure that if Mares and Horak had stayed we would have played for title of the league!
My personal opinion is that in winter Hartig could be sold and these two players did not have to leave. Or club could borrow the money because this investment should have returned.
The key match was in Olomouc. We lost the win match in the last minute and it bore down on our guys. It beat them down and they didn't get back yet. If the score had remained they would have gone completely differently to the next critical match against Viktorka.
Of course, before beginning of the league, we would take the 4th position but after the end of the league, I, and surely players, have very miscellaneous feelings...
Reference of the players
Contofalsky
I couldn't rebuke him for anything during whole season. Except couple of small faults in spring, he is positively big cap for our team. It is only fair he got to the national team of Slovakia.
Charvat
In training very good but he didn't catch any league match and one day he has to begin...
Petrous
He played fine, on solid level. Petrous has valid contract for one year more and I take him into account on 100%.
Janacek
Our defence is half without him.
Obermajer
His contract ended, we want to extend it, it is up to him. He is very suitable first of all for our small court.
Kulig
After leaving Mares, there was probably only one chance to move him on left back. Some matches played fine, other were bad.
Valenta
The contract ends in winter and he wanted to go away. I try to dissuade him that, I would like to give him another chance in different post.
Hrbek
He was more than one year hurt, his contract finishes in June and it will not be extended.
Kisel
When he is not healthy, he is half player because his play is based on short temper and aggression. Problems with the hurts caused his spring performance, the level didn't reach the performance in autumn. He is rowdy, I mean it in good sense.
Melecky
The autumn was excellent, in spring came falloff. I was thinking that it could be caused by the birth of his child, from that time he is a little screwed. I am sure he will be better even than in autumn.
Matuzsny
He had left Bohemians and he came waste. He has to improve his approach to training.
Szabo
He came in April and his physical condition is very poor. I don't know if he manage to adapt.
Dvorak
He improved very much his self-control on the court. His compass is higher, he definitively didn't show everything.
Kolar
It is very good he could play the league, he achieved the needed self-confident. The perspective is evidence. Perhaps he will develop in Bohemians.
Hartig
Only one thing is very important by him-to be healthy. He had long gap, it will last some time to get into trim.
Balaz
He is universal player, he can in defence, halfback and offense. Sometimes he is rash. He is very good in play by head.
Senkerik
Zdenek achieved big progress during the last year. He hardly asserted to lineup, but in spring he belonged to the most crucial forward. He is young and his best time will come.
