Our last opponent on the French pre-season Tour - <b>Auxerre</b> - has over 40 years same couch. Guy Roux started in the club in 1963. Since 1980 when Auxerre got into the Premier Division he helped them to win the League once and three times the French Cup.
In 1993 Auxerre was even in the semi-final of the UEFA Cup. The best year for the team came in 1996 when they won not only the League, but also the French Cup and for the first time in the club´s history entered the Championes League. In the Champions League they went into the quater-final where they lost to Borussia Dortmund.
Game between Auxerre and FC Bohemians is going to be played on Saturday July 20, 2002.
