Sunday didn't bring the win Bohemians so thoroughly deserved,we only tied. A goals on target ratio of 8 to 2 for the home team didn't stop Olomouc from stealing a point from Dolicek. It was no surprise either when Vaniak the away keeper was voted Olomouc's best player by all of Monday's newspapers.Even so it took the men in green 30 minutes to register their first shot on target.
Hartig (see photo), probably Bohemians best player, missed from two yards out with the goal gaping after fine work from Sirl. Shortly afterwards he stole the ball from Kovac and fed Kisel, only for Balaz to get in the way of the shot. Midfield play dominated most of the rest of the first half action, with most passes going astray.
In the second half Bohemians really came alive, and it was that man Hartig again who spurned three good chances, one hitting the foot of the post, while the others brought out great saves from Vaniak. It wasn't long before Vaniak was called into action again, this time saving a fine shot from Kisel. Continued pressure from Bohemians failed to result in a goal, leaving Olomouc two points ahead and the green men languishing in 14th. Some things just aren't meant to be!
