ZIZKOV - BOHEMIANS 3:2 (0:0)

Another look at match Zizkov-Bohemians. Written by Mark Scott.

Well it was another bad day at the office for the kangaroos who now finish the autumn season at the foot of the table. On a misty Sunday morning in Zizkov a crowd of 3723 turned out to see the last game of the autumn season. Bohemians fans were still queuing to get in 15 minutes into the game when Pikl should have done better from 10 metres out. In an uninspiring first half Janousek went close with a header and Pikl again with a long range effort. Three undeserved yellow cards were all Bohemians had to show for their toil.

The second half started much the same as the first with both sides scrapping for supremacy as is always the case in derby games and it was a set piece which inevitably opened the scoring. Direct from a free kick Scasny found Dirnbach's head after sloppy defending from the Bohemians back four and Zizkov were in front. Seven minutes later Bohemians pulled one back when Kisel scored from what looked to be a cross which evaded everyone and found it's way into the far corner of the net. This injected new life into the game and on 81 minutes Zizkov took the lead again. Another dubious freekick was awarded by Jara which Pikl struck well, only to be matched by a brilliant save from Contofalsky, this unfortunately was to no avail as Licka netted the rebound, 2-1! Again Bohemians hit back. Koukal on for the hardworking Hartig crossed to Kisel who applied the finishing touch once again. His sixth of the season. Then for the final time Zizkov took the lead. Klimpl directing a corner into the net after what looked like a foul on Contofalsky. A good performance marred by some sloppy defending seemed to be the story for the umpteenth time this season. Better luck next time boys.
