BOHEMIANS – HRADEC KRALOVE 3:1 (1:1)

Nice weather, nice attendance, nice result! Bohemians deservedly won in the very important and difficult match and it means that the hope for saving the first league for Kangaroos lasts. On the contrary, the slaves from Hradec Kralove are probably doomed to the relegation.

Kozel, good defender with experience from Czech nation team, appeared in lineup for the first time. He played well, couch Uhrin was satisfied with him. Bohemians began with the pressure, in 5^th minute was in good chance Bednar but he headed weakly. Slaves accommodated the pace to Kangaroos and in 18^th minute they opened the score, Breda broke the offside trap and finished well with the Bohemians defence still claiming offside. Hradec almost made it 2-0 when Bouska pounced on a mistake by Lesak only to see his shot strike Holec's post. But despite bad scoreline, Bohemians still fought and Bohemians’ fans could shout goal just before the end of the first half. Zoubek equalised the score, it was nice shot from 16 metres. This seemed to take the stuffing out of a dejected looking away team and Bohemians continued to dominate as the second half got underway, in the beginning of the second half had big chance Bednar but goalkeeper Podhajsky saved well. On 52 minutes the green men were rewarded for their efforts when Rajnoch headed in a Zoubek centre and were further assisted by the sending off of Pilny after a second bookable offence in the72nd minute. Six minutes later Bohemians added a third with another header, this time from Polodna, converting Kisel's cross. So all three points in the bag for Bohemians after a much improved performance from last week. Relegation seems not to be so certain now! Bohemians showed good performance, much much better than we could see in Liberec.
