Without two regular workhorses (Lesák and Obermajer) who could not play due to a mandatory stop after having received four yellow cards, Bohemians were forced to field a team consisting of many youngsters. Kroměříž team introduced some interesting personalities. Michal Nehoda, son of a former Czechoslovak national team striker Zdeněk Nehoda, was complemented on the forward line with Paciorek, enfant terrible of the Czech soccer. Also of interest to some, the team is owned by Mr. Zlámal, who was a majority owner of Bohemians not a long time ago. His departure from Bohemians has not been regretted by anyone.
The match itself was decided on penalty shots. Kroměříž had a penalty kick advantage twice and Bohemians once, all penalties rewarded in the first half of the match. Bohemians goalkeeper Kolář, who is becoming somewhat of penalty kick specialist, made a fine diving stop already in the 4th minute of the match on the first Kroměříž penalty executed by Paciorek. The final result of the game was settled by Matuszny of Bohemians and Ryška of Kroměříž, both of whom converted penalty kicks.
Bohemians spent most of the second half on their heels. However, with determination and a bit of necessary luck they managed to steal one point from a team that is stronger at home than away from home.
