Match review: Bohemians - Pardubice 3:3 (2:1)

For the first time this season, Kangaroos scored three goals, but it was not enough to get three points. It was also their first game under a new coach, Vladimír Hruška. Their opponent, Pardubice, is the team that filed a complaint against Bohemians that made the Czech Football Association issue a registration ban for all new players coming to Bohemians. Interestingly enough, Pardubice also grabbed three of the players that Bohemians intended to register as their reinforcements for the autumn season (Kulvajt, Macháček, and Vizingr). So there was more at stake than just three points.

The game started quite will for the home team.  Lesák gave Bohemians an early lead on a sharp shot from a close range.  Pardubice tied the score on a free kick that Klesa unfortunately misdirected into his own net.  He made up for his miscue by scoring in the right net after a corner kick and a mass confusion in front of the Pardubice goal.

Pardubice scored two goals in a quick succession in the second half.  First Kulvajt’s free kick ended up right in the upper corner of Bohemians net.  Then Bukač stole an errant pass from Obermajer to Kolář and lifted the ball over the helpless goalie into the net.  Obermajer scored the last goal of the game on a header thus ending a shoot-out in the Ďolíček.
