The first game of the Czech Football Federation Cup will be played on Sunday, July 31. Bohemka will travel to Čelákovice to face the local team. The game starts at 5 p.m.
Mr. Steinbroch, director of Bohemians, announced the first two players that signed a contract with the newly formed team. The first one, Tomáš Freisler is an experienced defender that will anchor defensive corps. Dalibor Slezák is somewhat a surprise addition to the forward line. However, his wealth of experience should help younger forwards that will look to him for leadership qualities. Both of these players are well known to Bohemians fans, having spent years in Ďolíček in their previous stints with Bohemians.
Bohemka will start its third division season at home in Ďolíček. The first game will be played on Sunday, August 7, at 5 p.m. and the first opponent will be the reserve team of Slavia Prague (Slavia B).
This draw brought back memories of the last game that Bohemians played (and lost 5:0) against the same opponent during the Tipsport Cup on January 29, 2005. It was just before the bankruptcy was declared, the darkest time in the club’s history. What a difference half a year makes! And all that thanks to you, fans and friends of Bohemians. Enjoy every minute of the upcoming season, you deserve it!
