Representatives of Bohemians 1905 (owners of the team) and Bohemians Real (owners of the Ďolíček stadium) met on Monday, July 11, to sign a leasing agreement. According to this agreement, Bohemians will be allowed to play in Ďolíček for another year. The agreement will expire on June 30, 2006 but both sides agreed that the mutual co-operation will continue well beyond this date.
Mr. Dalibor Lacina, acting on behalf of Bohemians Real, stated that Bohemians Real had to wait for the Czech Football Association (ČMFS) to confirm that Bohemians 1905 are the successors to the Bohemians Praha name and tradition. When that happened, there was no doubt left as to what team should play next season in Ďolíček. (It was revealed that TJ Střížkov, the third division team also claiming rights to the Bohemians name, attempted to sign a similar agreement with Bohemians Real. However, they struck out and, hopefully, will not bother Bohemians 1905 anymore).
Bohemians Real also hinted that there are plans for the reconstruction of Ďolíček, which should start already a year from now. Having suffered through years of mismanagement and broken promises, most loyal Bohemians fans can hardly believe this turn of events. The management of Bohemians 1905 certainly made great strides forward in their effort to resurrect Bohemians. Well done, boys!
