The only positive of the game was a good attendance. Fans showed up in droves despite competition from the ice hockey final between Sparta and Slavia that was played at the same time.<br /> Losing to a weaker opponent (at least on paper) can happen. What is, however, inexcusable is the way it happened. Bohemka players provided often embarrassing displays of football futility. There were no good passes to be seen, no shots on the goal, no team work. Movement without a ball was non-existent. Although spectators cheered their team on, Bohemka players could not, or would not, put any pressure on Krč.
Krč, coached by former Bohemians goalkeeper Šimurka, played effective football. If it keeps on playing in the same manner, it will likely stave off the threat of relegation.
The first two goals were scored on penalty shots. Krč scored a winning goal after check mating Bohemka defense with a series of precise passes.
The result of this game probably means the end of all Bohemka’s promotion hopes for this season. The leading team of the third division, Prachatice, has accumulated 12 more points than Bohemka so far. Even though there are still plenty of games to be played, it will be difficult to catch up with any team without winning on the home pitch.
By the way, coach Busta was more successful on Saturday morning, when Bohemka’s youth team that he is also coaching, beat its closest rival for promotion, Jablonec, 4:1.
