You just never know which Bohemians 1905 team will show up. Luckily, the lousy team that put all spectators asleep in the game against Slavia B stayed away, at least this weekend. To the joy of all in attendance, the Bohemka team that showed up on a beautiful sunny day in Ďolíček was the same team that provided highly entertaining football at the end of the autumn season.
Without a doubt, this was the best performance of Bohemka in the third league this spring. Bohemka surprised Náchod with a rocket start - ten minutes into the game the score was already 2:0. First, Kulvajt directed Dian’s shot with his heel into the net. And then, the best player of the game, Kotyza, scored on a sharp shot from an angle. The onslaught continued, forcing Náchod’s coach to keep changing his defense corps throughout the game.
A few minutes before the halftime, ageless forward Slezák outsmarted Náchod’s defense and finished his solo by lobbing the ball over a fallen goaltender into the net. At that point, all spectators were on their feet.
The only black mark of the first half was a red card given to Bohemians midfielder Rosický who received the second yellow card for a disputable foul and had to leave the field. He was followed shortly after by Náchod’s player Hudec who received first a yellow card and immediately afterwards a red card for mouthing off.
The second half continued to be played under the same scenario. Bohemka was clearly a better team. Kangaroos were not afraid to please fans with surprising passes and ball tricks. Although Náchod concentrated on defense, it could not prevent the fourth goal. Dian finished his solo effort by sidestepping even the goalie and scoring into an empty net.
Only a mental mistake by one of Bohemka players at the end of the game allowed Náchod to score its only goal.
Bohemians have a chance to improve their point total already this Saturday, April 29. They will play the last team in the standings, Chomutov. The game starts at 10:15 in Chomutov.
