“Mandatory” victory over the last team of the third division. It was again 36-year old Slezák who was not only the hardest working player on the field, but he was also the best goal getter. <br /> Fans, who traveled with the team to Chomutov, were probably disappointed. Unlike the game against Náchod which was nice to watch, this game was not as pretty. Chomutov’s soggy field could be partially blamed for that.
An early goal by an elder statesman Slezák set the tone of the game. Bohemka did not have to rush forward and Chomutov did not have enough skill to threaten Zahálka in Bohemians goal. After the second goal of Bohemians and the ejection of one of the Chomutov players, the game was for all practical purposes over. The third goal in the Chomutov net was a culmination of the relaxed, controlled game that Bohemka displayed for the rest of the game.
