“Only” 2489 fans showed up for the game with the reserve team of Příbram. A combination of factors contributed to this drop in attendance - early start of the game on a weekday, disappointing performances and results of Bohemka in previous games and a fairly unattractive opponent. Nevertheless, a win was expected from the home team.
As it turned out, the victory was beyond the reach of this team. Although Bohemka started the game on fire, hitting two crossbars, finishing off the opponent that should not be that difficult to beat proved to be an elusive task. The result of this game means that, pending some unexpected developments, Bohemka will not be promoted to the second league this season.
Although Bohemka management planned this year to be spent on consolidation of the team and club’s operation, this development is a huge disappointment to the large number of fans who expected the team to be more competitive on the field. Even more disappointing than the results themselves is a poor game in many matches. As the season progresses, an expected improvement in the team’s play has not been noticeable. Quite the opposite, the level of team performances has been declining. We are sure that this will be a hot topic for the club’s management in the off-season. The team has to be strengthened so that next season it can become a force to be reckoned with.
