Shootout in Ďolíček! Fans got their money’s worth - three penalties, seven goals. And on top of that they saw some very entertaining football by both teams.<br /> The reserve team of Liberec is in serious trouble in the third league this season. Since Liberec’ first team won the Czech first division title this season, there was no problem to provide the reserve team with reinforcements from the first team. In particular, Dort and Papoušek were outstanding. However, playing against some first league players brought the best out of Bohemka.
If any spectator came 10 minutes late he would miss two goals by Dian and Pávek. Two youngsters, Bartek and Hašek, prepared a chance for Dian who scored the first goal of Bohemka. Pávek’s goal was of a different variety - Strnad was rewarded a penalty shot after a hand ball in the penalty box. Liberec’ goalie Hauzr guessed right and managed to block the penalty shot, however, Pávek jumped on the rebound and headed it in the net.
Liberec closed the gap shortly after the half time when Bílek headed in a ball that bounced from the cross bar. Bohemka countered right away. First Slezák hit the post of Liberec’ goal and then Kulvajt scored from only a few meters away, benefiting from a nice combination between Vágner and Dian.
It took only a few minutes and it struck at the other end. After a foul in the penalty area, the referee did not hesitate to call a penalty shot. Dort did not make a mistake - 3:2. But Bohemka was not finished, yet. Substituting Růžička’s pass found Slezák’s head and Bohemka lead was restored to two goals.
Just one minute later, there was another penalty shot against Bohemka. Bohemka’s goalie Charvát, as if trying to make up for his previous mistake, did not allow Dort to score. The game was heading into extra minutes when Liberec scored again to bring the final score to 4:3 for Bohemka.
The game was a pleasure to watch and Bohemka’s victory made it so much more enjoyable.
The next game will be played on Wednesday, May 24 at 5 p.m. in Strakonice. This is a game that was postponed at the beginning of the season because of a soggy field in Strakonice.
