Bohemians youth “A” team achieved its lofty goal - promotion to the highest youth league in the country. A home victory over the youth “B” team of České Budějovice 3:0 before a record attendance of 620 means that their closest rival, Jablonec, can’t catch up with them. Jablonec is 13 points behind Bohemka, with only four more games to play. The first two goals of the game were scored by players who have already played for the senior team - Ivan Hašek jr. and David Bartek. The final goal of the game was scored by Tomáš Březina.
At the game’s end, the joy on the field and off the field was spontaneous. There was no end to congratulations from all sides as the champagne flowed freely. Players also received commemorative shirts from the club.
Credit for this great achievement goes to all the players, coaching staff (in particular, coach Busta in his double duty as a coach of both youth and senior team), management of Bohemians and last, but not least, the players’ parents.
Now if only the senior team could duplicate this feat!
