Hradec Králové B - Bohemians 1905 2:3 (1:1)

A see-saw battle not suitable for fans with a high blood pressure took place in Hradec Králové.&nbsp; The local reserve team hosted a rejuvenated Bohemka (6 victories and 4 ties in the last ten third division games); the game was played at the main stadium in Hradec.<br /> The game did not start well for Bohemians.&nbsp; Hradec went ahead after only 3 minutes from the opening whistle when goalkeeper Zahálka, who would prefer to forget this game, missed a high ball and the following header by Fer&#269;ák found the net.&nbsp; Bohemka, playing for win, increased the pressure on its opponent.&nbsp; About 150 red-eyed fans, travelling from Prague for this early morning game, did not have to wait too long for an equalizer.&nbsp; The ever reliable Slezák took a pass from Kulvajt and calmly scored - 1:1.

Bohemka made two changes at the start of the second half, but it was surprisingly Hradec that was more agile on the field.  Hradec had also a few good scoring chances at this stage of the game, but, luckily for Bohemka, did not capitalize on them.  On the contrary, it was again Slezák, who took a pass this time from Strnad, who eluded the goalie and scored into an empty net.

When just about everybody thought that three points were in the pocket, Hradec tied the score.  After a series of mistakes by Bohemka defense corps, Hradec’ Ferčák scored his second goal of the game.  With only extra time left, it was do-or-die time for Bohemka that desperately needed to win this game.  And Bohemka came through - Rosický’s corner kick found Nešpor who scored in the upper corner of the net.

Shortly afterwards the referee ended the game, but not before throwing out coach Busta.  Our guess is that some colourful language expressions preceded this ejection.

Unfortunately, Bohemka did not gain any ground on the third division leading Čáslav which defeated Liberec B in Liberec 1:0.  So with three games left, Bohemka is still trailing Čáslav by five points.  Only one third division team will be promoted at the season’s end.

The team will now switch from playing two games a week to playing one game a week.  Bohemians will face their next opponent from Prague suburbs of Břevnov on Sunday, June 4.  The game, which will be played in Ďolíček, starts at 5 p.m.
