In a surprising move, Bohemians 1905 announced an acquisition of Karel Rada from the first division team of Teplice where he was a captain of the team. 35-year old center defender was capped 43 times for the Czech national team. He was a member of the silver medal team at Euro 1996 in England. His acquisition brought mixed reactions from Bohemka fans. Some welcome his experience and hope that he can provide the leadership to younger players on and off the field. Others question the wisdom of acquiring a player who is way past his prime. We will have to wait and see.
Also coming to Bohemka is 19-year old Michal Held from Slavia Prague. Held is coming on a loan for the time being; his further stay with Bohemians 1905 will be evaluated during the winter break. He is talented player, capable playing both defence and midfield. Coach Busta has high hopes for him.
Ivan Hašek participated with the Czech national under-19 team in the Euro finals in Poland. Czechs have brought home the bronze medal which assures them of a berth in the under-20 World Cup that will take place next year in Canada.

About 100 fans witnessed the premiere of the B-team of Bohemians 1905 in Ďolíček. It was a surprisingly well played game. Our fourth division team was facing the third division opponent that just last season competed with our A-team. Our B-team tested in this game another youngster coming from a Bohemka youth team, Zavadil. And he did not disappoint, setting up the first goal for Růžička and scoring the second goal himself. Coach Kostelník was happy both with the victory and the team performance.
