The third win in a row did not come easy for Bohemians. Do not be fooled by the final result that suggests a comfortable margin of victory.<br /> It was Ústí that was a better team in the first half of the match, especially in the first 15 minutes. Although Ústí has scored quite a few goals this season, overcoming Bohemka’s defense proved to be an elusive task in the first half. On the contrary, Bohemians took advantage of some sloppy goaltending and went ahead with just a few minutes left before the halftime.
Ústí opened up the second half in an effort to tie the score. That tactic did not pay off, as Kangaroos scored another goal by Slezák from a free kick (Ústí’s goaltender did not look good on this goal, either). Ústí came back with a goal of its own, only to be scored on again when youngster Bartek showed that being aggressive in the penalty box can pay off. Bohemians then took control of the game, playing an all around solid game. No wonder that spectators applauded players at the end of the game.
In the next round, Bohemians will face a surprisingly strong Sokolov team. The game will be played in Sokolov on Saturday, October 28. The game will start at 10:15 am. It is not a secret that Sokolov’s coach Martin Pulpit is a big Bohemians fan who is even a DFB member. Talk about split personality...
