It is a well known fact that Bohemians won their only championship title in the year 1983. Under the legendary coach, late Tomáš Pospíchal, the following players contributed to this historic triumph of Bohemians: Zdeněk Hruška, Vladimír Borovička, František Jakubec, Zdeněk Prokeš, Přemysl Bičovský, Jiří Ondra, Stanislav Levý, Jaroslav Marčřk, Pavel Chaloupka, Peter Zelenský, Jiří Sloup, Zdeněk Koukal, Milan Čermák, Jaroslav Němec, Tibor Mičinec, Miroslav Příložný, Vladimír Hruška and Petar Novák. Bohemka won during this historic season 18 league games, tied 6 and lost 6 to accumulate 42 points with a score 69:31. The best goal scorer of Bohemians and the whole league was Pavel Chaloupka who scored 17 goals. It is, however, less known that Bohemians were quite close to winning the championship title on other occasions. In the year 1950, Bohemians ended second only behind Bratislava by a worse goal difference. But the biggest heartbreaker came in 1985. Going into the last game at home with Trnava, Bohemka lead the league. However, it was not meant to be - Bohemka lost at home 0:1. The goal was scored by none other than Dian Sr., the father of the current Bohemians midfielder, Michal Dian. <br />
