The series of games without a loss remains alive; however, Bohemians lost two points at home against an opponent that is fighting for survival in the second league.
The game was not one that fans of Bohemians will remember fondly, although the attendance broke the record of Bohemians 1905. Bohemka players did not perform at the level fans are accustomed to. One factor contributing to that was a surprisingly spirited play by their opponent. In the end both coaches agreed that a tie is a just result.
When it comes to goals, an old saying says that a picture is worth thousand words. You can see both goals here: http://www.fc-bohemians.cz/clanek.aspx?kod=6647&lng=CZ
Though the loss of two points at home hurts a bit, the pain was mitigated somewhat by the fact that Blšany team is coached by former Bohemians greats Přemysl Bičovský and Pavel Chaloupka who were the key players of the Bohemians championship team in 1983. Both of them were cheered and applauded loudly by grateful Bohemians fans.
Bohemka will play the next game again at home in Ďolíček on Sunday, April 22. The game starts at 5 pm. Their opponent will be a tough one - SFC Opava also boasts a great record of five wins and one tie this spring. Let’s hope that our boys will prevail.
