Bohemians 1905 - Baník Sokolov 0:1 (0:1)

The string of 18 games without a loss came to an end.  Unfortunately, timing could not be worse.  With HFK Olomouc gaining only one point against Vítkovice, Bohemians had a chance to increase the gap between them and HFK to four points.  It did not happen and the spread remains only one point.  Sokolov came to Ďolíček well prepared which should not be a big surprise.  Martin Pulpit, the coach of Sokolov, is a big Bohemians fan, DFB member.  Whenever he is able to, he attends games in Ďolíček.

Sokolov played an aggressive type of football that is based on good physical preparation.  Bohemians, on the other hand, did not have their day.  Midfield especially could not control the game the way fans are accustomed to.  The absence of Slezák was visible.  Although there was an abundance of corner and free kicks, if did not result in any scoring chances at all.

The best thing Bohemians can do right now is to forget about the game against Sokolov and prepare as best as possible for the next game.  This crucial game will be played in Olomouc - HFK Olomouc will host Bohemians.  The game will be played on Monday, June 11.  It starts at 5:30.  Bohemians’ fans will be skipping work or school that day and heading for Moravia to cheer for their green-and-white boys.
