After a battle with Slavia, Bohemians had to travel to Moravia to play the leading team of the third division in the third round of the Czech Cup. Wisely, coach Busta let rest most of the players involved in the match with Slavia. Both teams were evenly matched in the first half. The second half was affected by an earlier ejection of Růžička (Bohemians). The home team had scoring chances, but Havránek in Bohemians goal was equal to his task. The decision came late in the game when subustituting Matúš converted his chance into the winning goal.
As it turns out, by winning this game Bohemians assured thermselves of playing Sparta Prague in the next round of the Cup. The game will likely be played on Thursday, October 11. The home advantage will be decided by a draw.
