Bohemians travelled to Kladno determined to bring back some points to Ďolíček, but it was not to be. The third loss in a row means that green-and-white occupy an unenviable last place in the league standings one third into the season. The weather was miserable; it was cold and it was snowing. However, neither the weather, nor the lousy play and results of their beloved team in previous games discouraged more than one thousand Bohemians fans from taking a trip to Kladno. Undoubtedly, some of them regretted their decision.
Bohemians had to change their starting line up due to a pre-game injury of Marek Nikl. Another injury suffered by Šmarda early in the game meant that midfielder Kunášek had to take his spot.
Kladno was not a better team, but it scored more goals and that’s what counts. The first goal was a great free kick that bounced into the net off the post. Bohemians managed to tie the score after Kladno’s goalie dropped the ball and Matůš was in the right place at the right time. We are sure that Sňozík would like to forget Kladno’s winning goal on a well placed, but slow, shot.
More chances followed, but neither team was successful at converting them. That included a post hit by Adam in the last minute of the game.
Some Bohemians fans got in trouble at the end of the game after throwing their beers and seats on the field and fighting with security forces. The club promised that all those that paricipated in this brouhaha will be punished - they will be banned from visiting Ďolíček for the rest of the season and, possibly, beyond that.
If this was a crucial game, the next game is of a paramount importance to Bohemians. Should they lose any points at home against Most, the situation will become really gloomy. The game will be played on Sunday, October 28, and starts at 2:30 pm.
