Bohemians 1905 - Most 1:0 (1:0)

In dead last place and looking like a team the past few weeks that has no part of being in the Gambrinus League (lost three in a row), our Bohemians came through in a big way against Most this Sunday. The match was like a make or break game, and with a loss we would be deep trouble and be facing the real likelihood of being regulated come the end of the season. <br />

Needless to say, our boys responded the way they always do when people start to count them out…with a huge victory.

This was the first win since being at home vs. Slavia one month ago and the Ďolíček fans were anxious to see another.

And those anxious fans were awarded less than 3 minutes into the game, when Pavel Lukáš took a beautiful corner pass and headed it in just out of reach of the Most goalie.  It was a fantastic goal and exactly the way they needed to start.

Throughout the rest of the first half Bohemians outplayed Most, they had many chances to score, however they were called for off-sides numerous times, negating one goal and the potential for more.  Most was not up to our level in the first 45 minutes.

The second half was different.  Most came out firing and easily had Bohemians beat with their energy and playing. But Radek Sňozík made some great stops to keep Most back, and Coach Zbyněk Busta received excellent defensive play from Petr Kunášek who came on in the 67th minute and played one of his best games this year.

Up next we travel to Sparta (Wednesday 31.10) to play for the Czech Cup. Another tough game, one we are capable of winning. And then it’s time to head to Brno back in Gambrinus League play.
