Gain or loss? HFK - Bohemians 1:1 (0:1)

A tie in Olomouc would have been considered a success under different circumstances.  However, players and fans alike were disappointed with the outcome of the game this time around because Bohemians controlled the game from the start to the end.  With the exception of the last minute of the game that is.  That much was admitted even by the coach of the home team during the after-game press conference.

Bohemians played the best game of this season.  Their defensive efforts were effective, their passing was crisp.  The only ingredient missing was, once again, the scoring touch in front of the net.  The only goal of the first half was scored on a penalty shot after a hand ball in the penalty area.

Kangaroos continued in their domination during the second half.  The home team was visibly slower, less aggressive.  And when it looked like another three points were in the bag, it struck out of blue sky.  One of Olomouc’s players fell in the penalty area in the last minute of the game and the referee did not hesitate - penalty kick.  Unfortunately for Bohemka, the Olomouc player placed the penalty shot out of reach of goalie Havránek and that was it.

Bohemians will play their next second league game in Ďolíček on Sunday, September 7 at 5 pm.  Their opponent will be another ex-first league team, Most.

However, fans will have an opportunity to cheer on their boys in Ďolíček before that.  The Czech Cup game against Hradec Králové is scheduled for Tuesday, September 2 at 7 pm.
