As if Bohemka players wanted to win fans back, they finished the game the way they started it - with a team effort that did not give Karviná any chance for success. To their opponent’s credit, Karviná played hard until the end of the game although it was clear that on this day just effort alone wouldn’t do. Bohemians started for the first time forward Hartig alongside the surprisingly good newcomer Ibragimov. Although they were kept off the score sheet, both Hartig and Ibragimov kept Karviná defense corps very busy. It looks like Bohemka has finally found dangerous forwards.
The whole team looked good though. The goalkeeper Sňozík was sure handed and, once again, converted the penalty shot. Marek Nikl ruled on defense and both outside midfielders, Bartek and Róth, were on their game. The only weak spot was in the centre midfield where Adam was lagging behind his potential.
Fans frustrated with a series of 6 games without a win appreciated both the performance of Bohemians and the final result. However, it will be the next game away from home against ambitious Slovácko that will show if this was just a temporary improvement. The game against Slovácko will be played on Saturday, October 18 at 5 pm.
