Morava again… Opava - Bohemians 1:0

Going into the last league match this year, Bohemians already knew that all of their main competitors had lost their games and, therefore, Bohemians could not lose the first position in the standings.  Did it affect their game?  Who knows?  Coach Hoftych made some changes in the starting line up.  The toughest one was to replace the steadiest Bohemka performer, captain Marek Nikl who fell ill during the week.  As it turned out, it was the new center defense duo Lukáš - Pávek that made it quite easy for Opava to score the only goal of the game.  Quite surprising was the insertion of midfielder Růžička in the starting roster. In another unusual move, Slezák started the game instead of coming in late to stir things up.

Bohemians had the first scoring opportunity of the game, but unfortunately, young Morávek missed the net.  And right from the following counter-attack Opava scored the decisive goal of the game.  Bohemians tried, but ultimately failed to draw even.  Opava was just too good defensively on this day.

Coach Hoftych mentioned in an interview for one Czech daily that he would like to get three to four reinforcements during the winter break and the same number again during the summer break.  If his wish comes true, fans will have something to talk about even during the off-season.
