Reinforcements for Bohemka

Managers of Bohemians did not sit on their hands during the off-season.  On the contrary, judging from the number of player moves they were busy, busy, busy.  Their goal is to have two players of equal qualities for each spot.

All in all, six players have come to Bohemians.  Two of them, Aziz Ibragimov and Ivan Janek (both from Slovan Bratislava) were on a loan to Bohemians and played all autumn matches for the club.  Bohemians negotiated their transfer to Bohemians; both players signed a 2 ˝ year contract.

Aziz Ibragimov, 22, a member of the Uzbekistan national team is an offensive midfielder/striker.  Aziz is a speedy player with good ball technique.

Ivan Janek, also 22, is a right defender.  He is a member of the Slovak U-21 national team.  Ivan is very steady and reliable.

Another player coming from Slovan Bratislava, the current leader of the Slovak 1.league, is the defender Martin Cseh.  Martin has signed a 3 ˝ year contract with Bohemians.

Martin Cseh, 20, is a universal defender that showed a surprising maturity during preparation games.  He can play any defensive position.

After lengthy negotiations with Sparta Praha a young midfielder Marek Jungr was traded to Bohemians.  Marek used to play for a Bohemians youth team for a period of 2 years before going to Sparta.  He signed a 2 ˝ year contract.

Marek Jungr, 21, is a talented, defensive minded midfielder.  He represented the Czech Republic in the U-19 category and was a member of the bronze Euro team.  Only an injury prevented him from representing in the U-20 category in the World Cup in Canada where the national team ended up second.

A familiar face is returning to Bohemians - Miloslav Strnad is coming home from Čáslav where he was on a loan.  No wonder, he scored 9 goals for Čáslav and is currently the second leading goal scorer in the second league.

Miloslav Strnad, 27, a dynamic goal-getter with a good ball control.  He is also a dangerous performer of free kicks.  Míla is one of the “original” players who joined the newly formed Bohemians 1905 after the bankruptcy proceedings.

And last, but not the least, Josef Jindříšek is coming on half a year loan from Olomouc.  If interested, Bohemians have an option to negotiate his transfer from Olomouc this summer.

Josef Jindříšek, 27, a defensive player, brings with him experience and universality.  He can be utilized as a left or right defender or a defensive midfielder.

Worth mentioning is that the bright young star of Bohemians, Jan Morávek, will play for Bohemians even this spring.  Despite being invited to Schalke 04 traning camp where he played one preparation game, Honza Morávek wants to help Bohemka in the quest for the first league.  His transfer to some foreign club (most likely Schalke 04) won’t take place until the summer 2009.
