More preparation games

The team’s preparations for the upcoming spring seasons are moving right along.  Players are probably happy that the tough physical conditioning part is behind them and the focus is slowly shifting to the team and individual football skills.  To that end, coaches of Bohemians are using preparation matches to find the optimal line up as well as to finely tune up the team’s performance.

Bohemians 1905 - Hradec Králové 0:1 (0:0)
Played on January 31, 2009.
Goal: 74. Dvořák (penalty)

Traditional opponent, traditional result.  However, the team’s performance was quite good.  If only somebody could score a goal or two!  The decisive goal was scored from a hotly disputed penalty shot.

Bohemians 1905: Havránek – Janek, Nikl, Pávek, Rychlík – Jungr (46. Moravec), Morávek (63. Augustin), Adam, Róth – Ibragimov (80. Růžička), Strnad (46. Slezák)

Bohemians 1905 - Spartak Trnava 1:2 (0:0)
Played on February 4, 2009, in Luhačovice on artificial turf
Goals: 80. Kotyza - 60. Doležaj, 67. Ďuriš

Bohemians were better in the first half, currently third team of the Slovak 1st league was better in the 2nd half.  The better efficiency in converting goal chances decided the outcome of this game.

Bohemians 1905: Havránek - Janek, Nikl, Lukáš, Jindřišek - Kotyza (46. Moravec), Jungr (46. Adam), Morávek, Róth (60. Kotyza) - Škoda, Hartig (46. Slezák)

Bohemians 1905 - AS Trenčín 0:0 (0:0)
Played on February 6, 2009, in Luhačovice on artificial turf

Bohemians’ coaches liked what they saw on the field.  Even though the result against the Slovak 2nd league team could be better, the team’s effort left a good impression.

Bohemians 1905: Havránek - Janek, Cseh, Pávek, Jindřišek - Moravec (65. Kotyza), Adam, Augustín (80. Morávek), Jungr (65. Róth) - Slezák (72. Škoda), Strnad (65. Hartig)

Although the starting line up should be slowly crystallizing by now one should take into account the absence of two injured players (Sňozík and Hašek) who were left behind to train individually.  Also, forward Aziz Ibragimov left the training camp to join the Uzbekistan national team for its upcoming World Cup qualification games.

There are only a few preparation games left before Bohemians 1905 meet Dukla Praha in the first 2nd league spring season game in Ďolíček on March 8 at 5 pm:
