Tough game: Bohemians 1905 - Vítkovice 1:1 (1:0)

It was supposed to be an easy victory for Bohemians.  At least it looked that way on paper.  However, Vítkovice begged to differ; their team looked better than their position in standings would indicate.

Bohemka started their oldest player, 39-year old Slezák and he did not disappoint.  He was very active from the very start and crowned his performance by scoring the leading goal (the opposing goalie would surely like to get this one back).  Unfortunately, Slezák got hurt during his goal scoring effort and had to be replaced.

Bohemians continued in their attacking ways, creating good scoring chances.  However, even the best of opportunities got wasted.  Fans were growing increasingly nervous because Vítkovice did not miss any opportunity to threaten.  The futility of Bohemians reached its peak in the 82. minute of the game when the usually sure footed goalie Sňozík did not convert the penalty shot.  Moreover, he had to rush back to his goal to prevent Vítkovice from scoring.  He was successful on that occasion, but not in the last minute of the game when youngster Klímek fired a shot from about 16 meters out and scored his first goal playing for adults.  You can see it all here: High (768kbps) or Low (256kbps) quality.

Despite the loss of two points on the home turf, Bohemians remain at the top of the second league standings.
