It was the year 2004 when we started contributing to the English section of Virtualní Ďolíček. We have informed you about the matches, changes in the club and events affecting the operation of Bohemka, including its death and resurrection. It was at times awkward to maintain the timely supply of articles. We live in Canada and over all those years we have managed to see with our own eyes only two Bohemka games. The rest were described using information from the Czech section of Virtualní Ďolíček, Czech dailies available on the Internet, and comments by fans in the discussion forum. This is a time consuming procedure and it’s doubtful that the results are always proportional to the effort that goes into it. Add to it work and school obligations, time zone differences (many of the articles were conceived in Tokyo, Moscow, etc.), personal life, business trips, vacations - well, you get the picture.
It would not be fair to you, our loyal readers, to continue in the same fashion. The English section needs new ideas, new approaches. That’s why we decided that it was time to move on and hand the baton to somebody else. If you feel that you would like to contribute to the success of the new English section please contact the Virtualní Ďolíček at lukas.pribyl@bohemians1905.cz.
We would like to thank you for your loyalty to Bohemians, and like you we are looking forward to seeing Bohemka in the first league where it historically belongs. Bohemka do toho!
