They tested the defence line of Kangaroos since early beginning but without success. Especially long balls behind defence were dangerous.
One of those came during 17th minute. Ďuriš ran into the penalty box, prepared to shoot but Šmíd didn’t let him and kick the ball away with a slide tackle. Petržela crossed the ball from the right side but a deflection caused Hrošovský to miss an open goal at 24th minute.
Five minutes later, it was Kostka on the left side who was beat by Limbersky and left him alone to go one on one with the keeper. Bohemians’ keeper secured the front post and showed a good save. Then it was Petržela again but Pauschek, together with Šmíd, stopped him in 33rd minute.
The players of Bohemians got to the other side of the pitch sporadically and when they got there, they lost the ball quickly. This, however changed at the end of the first half. First of all, Mikuš passed the ball to the side to Gajič, he crossed it to Schick and Schick sent the ball towards the goal right in front of Kozáčik. The ball, however, didn’t cross the goal line. Then it was Acosta who ran away from the defence line of the opponent, firstly with an inaccurate pass to Kostka, secondly with a shot without enough power.
The second half didn’t offer that much excitement. Only bigger chance was by Hořava, but duo Pauschek – Šmíd was there on time and secured the situation.
The decisive moment came in 63rd minute. Kostka deflected the cross ball to Limbersky, he went around two youngsters Havel and Kostka, crossed the ball in front of the goal where Ďuriš was ready and scored. Prochazka had a chance to enlarge the goal difference right after the conceded goal but his shot ended at the post.
Pilsen slowed the game down after a scored goal, Kangaroos got more from the game but without any threat to the away goal. Agile Acosta was closest, when he got the ball from Akulinin in 72nd minute. Uruguayan midfielder went between two defenders and tried to lob the keeper but his try ended two metres above the goal.
Last chance came during the 86th minute. Čížek’s cross ball found Mosquera but he didn’t have enough time for a second touch to shoot. Kučera put his leg into his shot and saved the situation and also the final result for Pilsen. Pilsen takes all three points from Ďolíček, first time since 2009.
