1.FC Slovacko – Bohemians 1:0
The 8th match day started at 15:30 in Uherske Hradiste. The head coach Roman Pivarnik prepared some changes in a starting line up. Schick with Akulinin started up front, Šírl was put back on the left side of defense and wingers were Latin-American duo Acosta-Mosquera. Also Svatopluk Habanec was forced to make some significant changes in a home team. The captain Došek was injured and Šumulikoski took the captain role. The home team began the match actively but without a major chance. A weak shot by Diviš ended wide. The Kangaroos were also active and especially new-built left side with Šírl and Mosquera created most chances. But none of the tries ended in-between the three posts.
The moment of euphoria came in 24th minute. The lob behind the defense found Diviš who sent the ball behind Zlámal but the assistant referee called an offside position. However, a goal in 36th minute was confirmed. After a combination in a penalty area of Kangaroos, Diviš got the ball and sent Slovacko into lead.
The half time score could have been nicer. Bohemians pressured Slovacko on the edge of their penalty box, but no one took a shot. It was only Mosquera in 41st minute. He aimed with his left foot towards the post of Heča’s goal, but Heča showed a great jump and deflected the ball away.
Čížek came into the game instead of Akulinin to start the second half. And it worked. Kangaroos looked alive and caused some problems to Slovacko. Schick gave a pass to Acosta but his shot wasn’t good. Mosquera moved to the right side and didn’t make it easy for Slovacko. Schick was aiming close to the post with his shot after an hour of the game but Heča was sure again and saved it.
The active play by Bohemians didn’t end. Čížek crossed the ball to the left side, Šírl passed it to the penalty area where the home defender Břečka sent the ball to safety just in front of Schick. Just as against Teplice, Hubínek appeared in a chance right after he entered the pitch. Schick went around a player on the left side, sent the ball under him to Hubínek. His shot was saved deflected again by the reflexive try of the keeper and Čížek couldn’t react enough for the deflected ball which ended under his body.
The goal euphoria for Bohemians didn’t come not even after the final pressure. Kangaroos didn’t win and again, for the 4th time this season, lost by one goal.
