Jablonec – Bohemians 3:0
Bohemians went up north in an optimistic manner. The opponent was currently on a third position, his offense was third best in the league and they gained the confidence last week with a win against Slovacko. Thus Kangaroos couldn’t expect much. But the first half showed that all the expectations were odd. Kangaroos defended well and Jablonec couldn’t find a way how to get through the defensive line. Their runs on sides and cross balls were stopped and even when they made them, the ball ended at the imaginary ‘’hands’’ of defenders.
And not many chances were to happen during the first half. Bohemians counted on fast breaks, such as the one from 28th minute, when Rada beat Hubschmann on the left side and sent a ball to the penalty area to find Moravec. Moravec gave a fast pass to Mikuš who took a shot from a first touch but it went just over.
However, this was all what Bohemians performed for the rest of the match. Even that the start of the second half looked similar everything had changed after the situation at 54th minute. Pospíšil got a ball on their half, went towards the goal. Nobody pressured him and the defensive line was moving backwards with nobody going up to attack him. Pospíšil got into the penalty area and decided to shoot and he aimed well and changed the score to 1:0 for Jablonec.
The game changed totally since then. The players of Bohemians looked like they lost all their motivation and the home team got on top of everything. They pressed the Kangaroos at the back and it was just a matter of time when the next goal will be scored.
And the first chance came quickly. Gajič offered a ball to Šabala with an inaccurate pass. He moved the game to the left side but Švenger lowered the angle and caught it.
But the Latvian striker didn’t need feel any guilty because one of his teammates managed to score just seconds later. The cross ball changed the direction after the deflection from one of the defenders and the ball went slowly down towards Kopic who prepared a ball for a host in a first touch and scored from a second.
And the situation got even worse. Jablonec, full of enthusiasm, played a corner kick, Bohemians defended it but Jablonec returned the ball to the penalty area and Vit Beneš handled the moment well and aimed right with a header to change the score to 3:0.
Kangaroos stood up again from their knees and tried to threaten the home goal but all the chances ended too early and the home team got into counterattacks. The second match after a winter break ended with a clear result for the home team, even that the first half was equal.
